Oil cap

Is this a substitute for the square-holed cap for draining engine oil?

Far more comfortable than the original one...
If someone confirm my hypothesis, I would like to make the swap next time I change oil...

It looks fine, although I don't have a problem with the original as I bought a proper tool that fits on a 1/2 drive bar to take the original style off.

I have a proper tool too, not great quality but working; not so handy.
This one looks quite more user-friendly...

Seems a bit expensive to me,they are 2.50 including new copper washer in France,i just bought two last week,its a standard sump plug.

Good to know, I will ask in a local shop.
But just today I was astonished paying 25 euros for a thermostat... Better on ebay, even paying delivering...

If the thread is correct, that is M16x150, then it will fit.
Be cautious as there was another thread (M18x150) fitted to earlier R4s so check it with the seller.
