Oil Slick

Last night I picked up an engine from Woodbridge in the back of my clan and I forgot to ask if the sump had been drained. Well when I came out to the car this morning I noticed a pool of oil under the rear door. I peered in the window and it looked like the torry canion had passed by in the night. The oil has run along the sill tops and down into the front foot wells.

Hi Mike, I think you mean the Torey Canyon, but she hit the rocks off Lands End in 1967, surely long before you were born? Oh I know, your grandad told you about it.

Hello, Yes either that or my car now looks like a service vehicle for a middle eastern crude oil refinery.

The strange thing is, the engine has not turned over since 1977 and the oil that came out is clear.... and smells fruity
