Hi guys! have just been offered a 5TS-motor..
am unsure if valves/tappets are any bigger on this one than on my 5GTL,even if it has a double-corp Weber-carb
Will it make any significant difference to Roffens perf?
I'm not looking for more Hp but (even)more oumph would be nice....
Would it be any use to polish and smooth inlets?
What about outlets?
Or would best bet be to fabricate all new manifold??
Did I hear someone talk about the GTL -and the Solex 32 SEIA Ren702carb being resticted from opening fully to be more 'economical'?
-In case..Where did they bury the dog?? Easy fix??
PS-If I use the "innards" of the Escort LX-engine (based on R12) put these in a R18TS 1400cc.block would I see 100bhp?:eek:
