Radio speaker

I've just acquired a original radio console and in the Renault 4 spirit of minimal equipment I wish to fit a single speaker inside it, does anyone have any information on the speaker size & shape (oval?). The console is the late type.

Personally would take the console to a reputable local car audio place and see what they can suppy, sure they will be able to give you a choice of decent modern replacements to fit, old stock speakers tend to have limited life just due paper cones etc and age. This way you can modernize the sound quality without changing original appearance.
