Rear anti roll bar snapped!

Heard a loud 'twang' when driving on bumpy terrain yesterday. Rear anti roll bar snapped! Can’t see any other damage. From what I’ve read it doesn’t seem to be regarded as an essential item. But would welcome any thoughts on whether it’s worth trying to replace it - or just remove the 2 pieces and leave it at that?

The majority of GTL's tended to not come with rear anti-roll bars so it is not a neccesity to have one fitted, but many of us retrofit them from F4/F6 vans or rough road spec 4's as it makes a noticeable improvement to the handling.

I believe Portugese 4's came fitted with the rough road kit as standard so it should be fairly easy to source the part..

Thanks JR. Re fitting a replacement - is there any tension to be aware of (like when fitting new shocks for example)- or does it simply bolt into place as-is?

Hi Barry. No there is no tension to worry about the bar will just bolt into place!
