Renault 5 front brake imbalanced

hi i have just had an mot on my 94 reg renualt 5 campus. it came back with the RBT front brake imbalance :29%. Could you tell me what may cause this and how easy is it to fix?
only 8 weeks ago did i have a complete new brakes ( pads, front discs, drums, cailbres, shoes drums) the whole lot so not too sure what could be causing it. any ideas?

If you've had new discs and pads and callipers the brakes ought to work. My guess is either there is contamination on the discs or pads (perhaps due to an oil leak) or more likely the sliding surfaces for the pads haven't been cleaned up properly. Or if the pedal isn't firm maybe there is air in the system.

Some advice for cleaning up Girling systems here. Yours is probably Bendix and possibly more prone to being sticky - the wedges would need cleaning up.
