Renault 6 font brake cylinders

I need to replace one of the front brake cylinders on my 1973 Renault 6. Thing is the cylinder I have just taken off has the hose attachment coming off at an angle but the ones I see advertised have the hose coming out perpendicular to the body. It looks like If I use the perpendicular type the hose will hit the stub axle carrier.
Does anyone have any experience of this?

Renault 6 with drum brakes ie 845 models use same front cylinders as R4 van with drum setup pre 81 Aprox
suspect you are being offered rear ones not front
lots of normal suppliers don't list anything for r6 except maybe the more common 1108 disc front setup
try Mr auto or one of the recognised r4 specialist

Hi Cosmikdebriis

Mr Reno is right, your cylinders would be the same as those on an R4 van. I run an R4 van with the hose coming off at an angle on the front cylinders. It is good pratice to change both cylinders at the same time, even if only one is leaking/seized up.

I have a spare pair of new old stock cylinders. If interested please email me at: christianebeyer@yahoo.co.uk
