Rim/Wheel for r4 GTL 1984

Hello everyone,

I am looking for 4 to 5 Rim in good condition for my lovely quatrelle (r4 GTL 1984)!! I tried few websites suggested in other posts but couldn't get any ...

I have contacted few garages and sellers in France via leboncoin.fr or ebay but I cannot get correct rim/wheel !!

what are your suggestions? Can i repair mine? How? Would it be expensive?

Hi Nicolas, if your wheels are not heavily rusted or damaged, and it's just cosmetic work they need, you could refurbish them yourself. Why not post some pictures here to let forum members advise you.

Here is a photo of the drill attachments that I used to remove all the rust from my rims. The red nylon brushes worked best.
You'll have to take your tyre off and do the inside as well, especially the area where the tyre "sticks" to the rim.
Then a very good anti-rust, then primer, then two top coats.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your reply and apologies for my late reply. I managed to get 4 refurbished wheel ... next steps is to re do the painting. I think for her 30years birthday I will offer her that.
