Andy, I think the clip shouldn't work on a regular screw, mine has some brass knob to catch on...

I wondered about them, too - but I think they're the original (1972) fixings:

I'd be interested in seeing photos of your car's sunroof!

Here it's how this pin looks like, at least on later cars. Does anybody have pictures of this part on a pre-72 car?

Thanks, Angel (and Andrea) - it makes perfect sense now. The 'pins' have broken away on my car. Did you say you had some spare ones?

I remember I bought a handful of them at a parts shop some years ago, but i only found one spare, the rest of them should had been the ones they are on my Jogging. I'll look further in my parts inventory :-) but if I can't find more of them, I can make them fairly easily.

It is before the restoring process, the donor car was a late '70, external hinges but plastic vent door, the knob looks black but once polished turned out to be golden brass...
