Silly Number Plates F4 PWR!

Ended up on one of these silly numberplate websites, there are some quite funny ones available like: "F4 PWR"!
Stupidly expensive tho!

Couldn't find any R4 ... ones tho (Must have all been snapped uk )!

There isn't my dream plate of "R4 GTL" but there is "R44 GTL", "R40 GTL" etc.

You can't use a personalised plate on a car older than the year letter. So F4 PWR would be only useable on an R4 from 1988 or later (not sure that F4s lasted that long) while R4 GTL etc. is only allowed on a car post-August 1997. Tough!
Old-style R 4, 4 L, 4 TL and 4 GTL would be OK - if one could afford them . . . .

Out of curiosity if the car was a new build (like one of these R4 based kit cars you see) would you be able to use it then as effectively its a new car isn't it ?

Wouldn't you have to have a Q plate?

Was just wondering if you can you have custom Q plates or do they have to be fixed ? (Starting with Q obviously!)

No, you get a number allocated by DVLA and it cannot be transferred to any other vehicle.
