You'll be familiar with Roaslie the red GTL. See my cars and scroll down to the red looking car to read about her adventures prior to 2003.
I sold her to my friend Robert in 2003 after Ermintrude's restoration. He's run her as an everyday car since then, covering about 50,000 miles, but has just started a 5 year contract in Barcelona and apparently parking is tricky over there.
Since Clementine's rear chassis repair she's had some other welding in the front floor area, and a repair in the rear wheelarch, all done by me last year, so done properly not patched. Robert replaced a front and rear wing and when respraying he achieved the worst colour match ever seen on a car.
She runs very well, and has only covered 111,800 miles. Interior is excellent. Exterior could do with the other front wing, the tops of the rear wings looking at, a couple of bumpers, and ideally some paint all over in a consistent colour. I can probably include better bumpers and a decent front wing.
Also Robert would like me to highlight that she has 4 seats and is very economical.
I'm guessing once I've given her a good polish to pretend that the colour matches better then it does she'd sell for around £1000 on eBay.
To save me the bother is there anyone on here that would fancy driving her home for £750?
I'll replace a brake caliper and a driveshaft this week, and that should have her good for the next MOT (October). If there's no interest I'll try my luck on eBay as I'm keen not to have another R4 knocking around. Offered here first as she's a genuinely reliable, solid and usable car that would reward improvement and renovation by an enthusiast.
Here's a pic. Don't worry - she's not been abandoned in a field, just moved out of the way for a few minutes. You are welcome to come over to inspect and drive, but please be quick about it else you'll be competing with daft people on eBay in a week.
