Just back from Scotland but prior to this i had a trip to London and on the way my R4 gave a couple
of splutters then picked up and carried on and on the way back it did the same, only one time it cut out
completely for about 30 seconds and then slutter back into life, anyway stopped in Oakham for a few minutes (6 miles from home now) started it again and it stopped and would'nt start, did the usual
lift bonnet wiggle wires and then noticed this  how did this happen ? the plastic piece on the side of
the distributor had snapped ?

Methinks that this could be the result of the rigours of motoring in Scotland .lol.

:D you could be right Stan, but never seen that before and i've done some miles in them.
We're coming up to Orkney and Shetland in August but in our campervan (Renault of course) could drop in for a cuppa if
you're around :) so if you want anything bringing up ?

Looks like femsa distributor have had that happens before but most recently had tension spring on points snap

Hi Paul, i was only saying just before we went to Scotland that i'd had no trouble at all with the femsa but it had to
go and prove me wrong (should have kept my mouth shut) :D.
ps.. sent you an email.

You are very welcome bobble, let me know nearer the time or when you know your dates, I'm not sure what we are doing in august i just go where and when I'm told lol
