-The seats are fabric, not leather-like, and are way cool and comfortable.
-The door trims are also unique, having the usual R4 pattern but being a weird colour (something like metallic beige!)
-All chrome trim is black, and no hubcaps fitted
-Dashboard has the GTL's storage compartments either side of mirror, and also a useless (or what?) card and paper holder on the dashboard centre that had never been fitted on any other R4.
-Steering wheel is like the TL one but foamy, it came off an R5.

I have worked on two Safaris, both 1978 model year. One was in "L" trim without opening rear windows (but with sunroof) and 782cc engine (R1126), the other (that belongs to our member galaxian) in TL trim, with "special equipment" suspension and 845cc engine (R1123). So it appears that it was actually available in various "versions".
