I want yellow headlight lenses on my 4L
What are my options?
Are these available of the shelf?
Thanks guys!

You've several options:

The best one is to buy some P43T 60/55 watt halogen headlamps, and then buy some selective yellow glass caps and slide them over the bulbs. These will fit into a Renault 4's headlamp unit, giving that characteristic "French" look to the car, and with bright halogen lighting as a bonus!

Another option is to shop around on E-Bay (other internet auction sites are available) for some "old school" selective yellow 45/40 watt bulbs and fit them to the car. These turn up from time to time.

Painting the headlamp glass yellow is another option, but not, in my opinion, to be recommended.....

The fitting of "selective" yellow headlamps is legal (in the United Kingdom-I cannot speak for other counties)

Hi there. As a follow up to Andrè4Renaults comment, the company to check out is der Franzose in Germany. They can supply the halogen bulbs and the yellow glass covers that fit over the bulbs. They give the car a nice old school French look, plus you still have the advantage of quite bright headlights.

The "classic French look" was yellow bulbs only. From a certain viewing angle, this makes the lens look yellow, but it was always clear.

Thanks guys.

I have already used the yellow bulb covers option to great effect on my other car (pictured).

On the 4L I really want the lenses themselves to be yellow.
Are yellow lenses and/or ready built lamp units actually available?
(I looked at the link JDew kindly shared and couldn’t work out where the OP sourced his lenses)

If I end up going for lens covers instead, is the bulb easy access?
The 4L lives with my folks in France, I’m back in London now so can’t just pop to the garage to look.
