I'm trying to organise the where to find parts information on this forum. Here are some first points of call. Others are mentioned in this section of the forum.

Der Franzose
German specialist with a wide selection of parts. English, French and Gernan language

Melun Retro Passion
French specialist with a wide selection of parts including new chassis. French language only.

Mr Auto
Often the cheapest source of things like alternators, starter motors, driveshafts. Lots of other engine and suspension parts.

Renault Dealers
Out of stock on many parts now, and becoming more expensive, but quality tends to be better than the aftermarket parts. Lifestyle Renault in Tumbridge Wells will often do mail order if your local dealer isn't interested.

Ebay
Lots of old stock being sold by dealers. Often the cheapest source of parts.

R-Quatre.nl
Dutch language site, but English spoken on the phone.

Reno4er
German language site stocks an increasing range of remanufactured parts.

Windclassics
Windclassics in the Netherlands have a small range of new parts.

Warny
Warny body panels (Belgium) supply some body repair sections. See the forum thread for the UK dealer (in the Netherlands).

Others
See posts below for more places. Do reply with suggestions for other sources.

For R4 spares in the UK the big problem is that dealers don't have the correct microfiches or don't know how to read them (although I can confirm that Lifestyle Renault are excellent).
However, if you can supply the correct part numbers yourself, virtually any Renault garage will order them and generally good success is achieved.
For this it is ESSENTIAL to have the latest R4 parts book/fiche, which is PR 1104. This goes up to the end of R4s in 1993 and has the final (and thus current) part numbers for GTL parts and the last-generation R1123s (TLs, 845cc). The only thing it lacks is details of some RHD-specific parts for earlier 845cc models.
Parts books/fiches turn up occasionally online. If anyone out there has a set of PR 1104 fiches he would be doing us all a great service if he could make paper copies available (at a price!)

Hello all, just got my new R4 from Caen - it needed some exhaust rubbers and these guys did the trick - Lifestyle Renault - George Thompson (01892 524655) cheers, Ben

Salut!

www.melun-retro-passion.com ( as mentioned above) were good and easy to use when I needed driveshaft oil seals and a few other bits and bobs for our '68 747cc 1120 (you know, the quick one.....) although for rightsized roll pins I had to go to Vapormatic Tractor Spares via www.forge-service.co.uk Bit of a clunky website that one but we got there in the end.

Yours drip free in the Pyrenees

I accidentially found a scanned PR 1104 on the web.
You can download the document here:

Please note that this huge pile of misc. bits was sold on a good auto repair shop in UK - but I still have a number of R4 spares available including a few early 1960s items such as spring-loaded steering rack (NOS), 6-volt heater fan, gear lever, radiator, driveshafts - also various bits mainly for later (1970s) 845cc R4 models. PM me if you have questions.

Spares

Hello,

I have just rescued the 1961/2 R4 spoken about on the discussions page and i would be interested in knowing what spares you have. I also run a 1970 Vehicle as a daily driver.

Many thanks Michael

Not just parts , but anything 4L

Hi
There is a 4L specialist in Narbonne, S of France, he supplies new parts, old parts and does any kind of renovation work - he is currently remaking my Sinpar rear trailing arms. Also prepares cars for the 4L Trophy. Very capable but very busy ! Search for renov4L.com
