In the end got a new earth lead. fitted and it started second spin

Further work completed on 'Vanessa'. Front bumper on with over-riders. Chrome fixings to be blackened.
Added pair of foglights to make it a proper Xmas tree at the front. Nearside one I angled slightly towards the kerb but maybe will straighten it.
Some work on interior and then hopefully next week see about an MOT for it.

"Vanessa" now has a MOT and is taxed for the next 12 months. Long wait and lots of fettling done.

As I am planning to get the Alpine wheels refurbished have fitted set No 2 on Vanessa.

Alpine wheels now refurbished and Alpine centre caps are in orange to match body colour.

There is no sensor but a blanking plug.
Der Franzose do a switch for this purpose. Art 85120.

Hi, i have checked this item from der Franzöze but it is with two cables, i've a sensor on my gearbox plug left side with only one cable end, so what is it for?(R4_1123 from 1977)

Another year passes and Vanessa has a new MOT with no advisories.
Now to get some miles in during the coming year.

Well another year has passed with minimal mileage.
Vanessa failed MOT on handbrake efficiency.
In sorting that out other front brake problems were found, and resolved.
Now she has a Pass.
