Even need to cut some firewall (or engine block) to put it in.

Isn't 1986 the series 2 Renault 5? Series 1 had a longitudinal engine like the R4. Series 2 had a transverse engine with all the ancillaries at the opposite end. It would be a big fiddle to put a series 2 engine in a R4. Possible yes, but sensible no.
