4L International 2017

General Warning! :laughing:
-Accomodation now booked and confirmed,so we will see you guys in Thenay in July.
-found a nice reasonable accomodation in Oisly (La Pillebourdiere/B&B) 4,4km's from the circuit.
Should be Just enough distance so we won't hear peppers yelling & shouting all night long ;)
(kidding)

-Looks like the nearest B&B's/Gites are filling up already ,so be out in Good time fellas! -Reid.
 
Making plans, searching roads (not highway but those that are free and still pleasant to drive in R4) and accommodation on the way to Thenay. Try to calculate cost for such adventure.
For now it seem that i will need 3 days to get there, 3 days in Thenay, and 3 days back.

Have big wish to get there. Hope all puzzle will fit in place :D

B&B accommodation booked at Pontlevoy, 1.5 miles west of Thenay. On the Sunday morning we're taking a leisurely drive south westwards to the Pyrenees and Spain to join the World Citroen 2CV Meeting at Ericeira in Portugal for the following weekend. I think I will treat Renée to new tyres and painted wheels for the occasion ;-)

PS Do we need to book for the event in advance or can we wait until our arrival and pay on the gate?

I think they will "open" their site with the poss of ordering & paying for tickets in good time b4 event.
Seem to remember it was also poss to buy at gate. -Reid
 
Quick update on booking for those of us not in France...

You can pay on the gate on the day, price is €25 / person or if you book in advance its €20 / person so saving a few €€€€s for an additional vin rose or two ;)

To book you need to complete the booking form and pay by bank transfer. I have details if anyone wants them, otherwise email Raphael.
 
B&B booked, eurotunnel booked, does anyone know if the $L International website has been fixed yet?
Also, hoping to meet up at Montrichard for a meal, same as last time, if anyone is interested.
Right, need to get my festival head on for British Summertime in Hyde Park!:laughing:
 
Yep. Hotel sorted (in Amboise though :( ), tickets paid for - I emailed Raphael and sent payment to him as website wasn't working when I tried, ferry booked for Thursday night so I reckon we're good to go!

Montrichard again sounds good to us.

Van just needs a service and MOT this week then we are ready!
 
Me and a pal of mine are booked on the overnight ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff on the Tuesday, then a couple of nights camping at Saumur on the way. We should get to Thenay on Friday afternoon, so a meal like last time at Montrichard would be great. I've not got the tickets yet for the event because of the glitch on the website, and might leave it until we arrive there. Like you Lobster, I just need to give the car a bit of a fettle. Looking forward to meeting up with you all and sinking a few bottles together.:drunk:
 
Dover-Calais ferry booked, 0640hrs Thursday 20 July. B&B at Auberge de L'Ecole, Pontlevoy for Thursday evening.

Sunday morning, heading south towards Bordeaux, San Sebastian (Spain), Burgos, Valladolid, Salamanca and Lisbon to the World 2CV Meeting in Ericeira on Thursday.

Sunday morning, heading north to Porto, La Coruna, Oviedo, Santander (ferry back to Portsmouth). Phew!

I need to remove the radio/cassette and get it seen to by a specialist as it would be nice to be able to play cassettes on the trip. Undecided about whether to get the ratty wheels blasted and painted, with fresh tyres.
 
My bag is packed.
I leave in 24 hours.
We are leasing a new Renault Captur from CDG airport and driving through to Portugal, back through Spain and the south of France to Thenay.
I will look out for you forum members and your cars.
We are also staying at Oisly and I will be at the meet on Saturday.
I hope to meet as many of you as I can at Thenay.

Hi all , have been restoring my R4 Gordi for a year now with the help of Mr Reno and hopefully will be finished in a couple of weeks and ready for maiden trip to Thenay. Booked on Newhaven ferry Weds 19th at11.30 pm . Looking forward to meeting up down at event,Mrs Renospeed has mentioned Montrichard Friday evening, what restaurant and time ?
