Hi, can someone please post a picture showing where the block drain plug on a GTL is?

It's at the back of the engine near the bulkhead and difficult to get to. The photo on the page is taken from about where the air filter is, looking towards the bulkhead.

Hi Jjad, thank you for the reply. The post you directed me to seems to suggest that removing the block drain plug is more hassle than it`s worth. The problem I have is that draining the system from the bottom hose only removes about 2 litres of fluid. To get a 50/50 mix of new coolant I need to somehow get more out. Am I the only one to have this problem? Any suggestions please. Thank you.

Have you tried flushing it out with a hose? It sounds like the dirty coolant is still in your engine, so you need to get it out somehow.

Hi Jjad, how exactly do I flush the system with a hosepipe? Do I need to remove the thermostat and flush from there?

Hi Simon, good question! I've not done it, but your idea sounds sensible. Try doing a search on this forum - it's probably been discussed before.
