As for the two restictors for a 1108cc engine, I always stick to PR1104

Dimensions of course in mm, and an easy diy manufacturing.
Furthermore replace any old hose for new ones (easy diy) and make sure that nowhere false air is sucked in, and don't overtighten the nuts at the carb base.

If it's any help to you Pete, the T piece and restrictors are available from R-quatrelle.nl
They are excellent people to deal with, and can supply a wide range of spares for the 4.

thanks, ill check the restrictors tonight but it might be mine are the wrong way round

im also talking to a weber dealer, they are going to have a look for me with a view to a different carb going on with an adapter plate

There is no wrong way around. Both the restrictions are calibrated holes. They are not valves. And the small one does not fit in the big tube and vice-versa.

ok so the small restictor is in place, its just hard to see, and i cannot see through the hose with the larger one so again assume in place
