Diagnosing coolant leakage in oil

I don't think so, at this point. I had tested it prior to using it on the head bolts and it clicked fine, though.
My point is that, a torque wrench is more of a measuring instrument than a ratchet. If you set it to 5,5 kgm and it clicks to an actual torque of, say, 7 kgm, it's obviously useless.
Were the new bolts of a reputable brand, too?

You're right, but I don't think I have a reliable way to test it.

The new bolts were from Elring, the same manufacturers of the gasket set. They were recommended by the machine shop.

I also checked the bolt: it seems to have snapped right below the mating surface, making it impossible to extract with pliers or similar tools. I haven't taken the head off but the measurements check out.
