Door plate

Hi all
Can someone refresh my memory on this?
I need at some stage to do some work on the bodywork behind the plate in the photo. What I can't remember is what the arrangement is behind it - are the bits the bolts go into captive enough not to fall down behind the door frame?

It's a rectangular plate that is held loosely in a recess in the pillar, that does not allow it to fall down. So no need to take precautions when removing the door striker.

But remember to mark the striker plate position in some way before you undo it, so that you can replace it exactly and save some time and frustration on re-assembly
