How do I plug this hole? What is missing?

I managed to get my 1108cc engine running, first time in 20 years. Sounds very nice.

However, oil is pumping out from a hole below the fuel pump!

Any idea what is missing? A spacer plate? A blanking plate perhaps? Please.

You are missing the mounting plate. The photo in this thread has a very good picture of the mounting plate: https://www.renault4.co.uk/forum/threads/does-my-r4-have-a-r4-engine-confused-now.1413/ It is secured with a bolt in the bottom hole.

Ah, thanks Malcolm.

As it seems to pump fuel, I will knock up a "mini blanking plate" tomorrow and bolt/ glue it in place so testing can continue.

In the meantime, if anyone has a mounting plate please sell it to me!
