Hello, I've recently bought a 1990 Renault 4 GTL from a junkyard(no papers, just a rally car project), and I have really bad compression problems, I measured the compression on all four cylinders and its horrible: 1: 5Bar, 2: 3Bar, 3: 4Bar, 4: 6Bar. Soooo, it's time for new rings I think but I have a problem, the main one, what kind of/ size rings does it use it has the 1.1l(1108cc) cleon fonte engine. I've read that it uses 3 rings witch are 70mm and 2.0 mm top + 2.0 mm second + 3.5 mm oil, but locally(kinda) in Serbia and even in Hungary I can only find rings in a similar size in 70mm, 1,75mm top, 2.0mm second and 3.5mm oil. Can I use that? Or what should I use?

Before taking out the pistons and measuring the piston ring thickness, don't take anything you have read for granted. There had been many production and suppliers variations over the lengthy production run of the Cleon engine.
