Hi, like I wrote in the intro, my plan is to restore R4 to the factory condition. I started from the engine and gearbox. My R4 has a 160 000 km, at the clock. The engine is ok and needs only oil change. When I bay my R4 it already head some kind of electronic ignition instaled and it works for now.

And now let me introduce next thing on my list.
Bodywork and chassis

Do you have rust on the place where you screw the wings to the chassis?
Since I found out that although not visible at first, once wings were removed that's the place where it was really rusty

If you mean the places of the front wings that is not a big problem. Really big problem is the rear of the chassis and lower arms of the chassis at the front.

I painted the protectiv cover under the gearbox when I was changing the oil.

I never ever seen anyone put toilet paper in holes in the bodywork and then silicone over it and paint it. Now I seen it all...:laughing::laughing:

Then I needed a trailer to drive the R4 to the bodywork guy, but I had a better solution.:whistle:

It looks like that a man is working in a shed, it is not that far from the truth, but the body guy is 70 year old and he is works on R4 all his life and already has one white R4 GTL waiting to do the chassis next. I hope it turns out well.
