Hi there . I have my car Ministerio De Industria in front of me and I thought this was the Log Book as such but I can't find the engine size or power . Now I don't speak Spanish very well but can usually get by . According to my document this car is a 1972 RENAULT-4-S but it isn't obvious what the engine size is or power . I have now got the Motor number which is :- 813-02 and No Del Motor :- 129898 . Can anyone help please .

If you look at the engine side there is a plate with markings on it.
This will tell you what engine you have fitted in it.
For instance B1B is a 845cc Billancourt or 688/ is an 1108cc.

Try la4desylvie.fr site. Translates into English and has a chart with 'all' engine types in a R4.
Very useful site indeed.

Thanks for that . I'm trying to work this site but it's not the easiest so I may not bother . Thanks anyway .

Yep that sheds a light on the type of engine.
It is a Spanish build 852 cc Sierra engine.
34HP
5 main bearings
4 cilinders
It turns in the opposite direction as the bigger 956 cc and 1108 cc Sierra engines.

So if you want to do an engine swap for a bigger engine you need to change the gearbox to.

The same engine was used in some French R4’s for tax benefit.

Can anyone tell me what size this motor is .

Always nice to see those FASA build R4's, always a bit out the ordinairy, always special and different with all major components, but after all it's a Renault R4 :clapping:
Enjoy driving and don't hesitate to ask for FASA technical stuff.

Almost everything is different when it comes to engines, carburetors, master brake cylinders etc.
Even some bodies are different like the FASA F6 and all the cosmetics details on the body.
I think only the chassis and suspension are the same but I say that with caution.
As @harbourseal wrote, a lot of info on FASA build R4's can be found here http://www.allez-y.info/allez-y.html

Best regards.
