malcolm & Clementine the Cat Messages 4,538 Location Bedford UK Dec 4, 2010 #2 Crumbs! Was that the one offered for £3k or more recently? Restoration didn't last long. The repair is body off and needs a jig. See http://www.renault4.co.uk/renault-4-chassis-welding.htm and http://www.renault4.co.uk/gordini-outerrrsusp.htm That car looks like it has been patched in the same area before. It's much easier to repair a car that has not been patched than a botched one. I would leave it alone.

Realnut4 Enthusiast Messages 51 Dec 5, 2010 #4 Take a look: http://ingo-heitel.de/schwellerende-richten.htm It can be done without taking the body off. But I totally agree with Malcolm. I wouldn't do it.
