Just a quick update, the engine & gearbox are back in place and everyting is connected. Drove the first meters, and it shifts like a charm again!

Well, after a first screw-up I finished this weekend the paint job. I will let it cure for two weeks, and then I will give it a polish & full protection. I will also repair the seat fabric, and porbably also an reburfish on the rims.

Long time no post, but Louise will be used tomorrow as a wedding car for my best friend. Can't wait to share love and good times!

Hmmmm, I was driving and I heard suddenly a buzzing sound from the engine. Fortunately I was close to my destination. I let the engine running, and noticed it was the starter motor going for a full time spin. I turned the engine off, and it was still spinning. Like wtf

Then it started to smoke a bit, and I was happy I had some tools to disconnect the battery. I made a short clip what I mean.

Is there a quick fix? What could be the cause?

Looks like the starter end of the battery (+) cable shorts to the solenoid-to-starter motor terminal somehow. Or solenoid contacts stuck together.
