Finally!

A lovely spring day with 20 degrees, love it! I gave Louise a fresh primer on the new bodypanels and sanded areas. Next time I will give it a close inspection, sand it down & remove the body for a final colour..

And for something completely different. I bought a (very cheap) vise last week. Brand is a Pamaro Heavy Industries Vise NO. 2 - made in England (probably '40 - 50's?). Anyway, I thought is was fun to do a complete make-over.

My local tire specialist was so kind take take off the tires for free, yeah! So I started sandblasting the last three rims. Well, it take about 40 minutes to sandblast one rim - boring job..







OCD & lucky me again, I found last week another Paramo vise nr. 2 on a fleemarket for €7,50. I couldn't resist it (again): sandblasting, polishing & painting. My girlfriend think I'm nuts, well - it is

Oke, and then I suddenly notice that one rim is different than the others...

At least I have a spare tyre rim now, lol

Yeah, another job (finally) done! I did a clear coat on the rims. I comes out real nice Unfortunately same areas on the rims are affected by the rust, so it has some holes. I didn't do the effort going in with filler etc. It would be a bit too much 'restoration'..





I also did some work on a Saab 9000i, for a friend of my, lovely car



Next, ordering new tyres size 135/80r13. I will probably go for Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun.

So what will be up next?
-fitting new tyres
-some minor filler/sanding spots on the body
-wet sanding body
-painting body

Were they sand blasted or soda blasted? I know that you bought a soda blaster from Amazon, I think, and cleaned up your carb so nicely. I'm cleaning my rim at the moment with a wire brush attachment on my drill, which is very time consuming

Hi Mojobaby, I use my trusty sandblaster only for aluminium surfaces like carbs, cilinderheads etc. The rims were that dirty and rust affected I would be ending up using too much soda for this purpose.

When you think for a nice & quiet sunday to do some work, then suddenly the Dutch Tricycle Club decided to race in front of my shop for the National price, lol

those wheel really look small and tiny comparing to wheel on modern cars.....almost like trolley wheel not for car....

I am wish to my self small sandblasting machine so i can play with bits like you do

Not that much to show, but I sanded the body to grit 320, next time up to 400 & 600 (wet). it is starting to become real smooth! I also removed the body off the chassis. Within two weeks, spray time!
