I like seeing these pictures because an R4 is a real workhorse and jack of all trades.
Reminds me of how I drove my first R4, commuting distance was 200 km per day and then all the other kilometers. Parachutes in the back and everywhere through Europe to airports for skydiving and objects for BASE-jumping.

10000km since engine rebuild so first oil service. This time she got 2L 15-50 Mobil1 fully synthetic (from the time Mobil1 was best), and one bottle in the car for fill up.
Seems like my homemade magnetic oil plug made a great job, there was some magnetic slurry on it when I drained the oil ( probably from the new piston rings). Took the slurry between my fingers and nothing big enough so I could feel it .
New Mann filter was also in the deal.
Otherwise GreenOne behaves great 7000km this year without any big hiccups.
Hade to replace clutch wire and rebuild some because it has a square box and wire was for round gearbox.
I also grease the driveshafts when needed.
Today she was tool carrier when I helped my father fix his tractor.

Our mil is 10km so very easy to use, same with a metric ton thats 1000kg.
I think you know all this but I guess most on the forum have no idea.

I didn't know about the mil. Why is it 10km and not 1000km? But I am easily confused. I set my sat nav to read in metric because I got confused by the alternative units. It used to say 'turn left in 1 mile', then a little later 'turn left in 800 yards', then 'turn left in 250 feet'. I wasn't able to figure out the conversions fast enough and would end up turning right. The other thing that has been confusing me recently is the French use of dN/m. They'll say torque to 0.3 dN/m instead of saying 30N/m.

Good to hear the car is running well and performing R4 duties.

I learnt about the Swedish mile the hard way - I went for a walk in the late 70s with a friend who, when I asked how far we'd be going, said 'Oh, a couple of miles or so'. It turned out to be 17km....

Finland, Sweden and Norway had all a mil (we hav always been close neighbors or same land) it was mostly between 10km to 11,6km depending on land and region in land. When beginning of Si system we adapted our mil to be 10km so it became compatible with the meter.
I think all road signs where in mil until 30-40 years ago, so when I went to school we learned that one mil is 10km and 10000m.
I think cos our countrys is quite big it vas convenient to use mil instead of km.
